Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, stated that the relations between RS and Serbia are progressing every year and are very clear and the best possible.
The event “Days of Republika Srpska in Serbia” was held in Belgrade, and the ceremony began with the playing of the Serbian anthem “God of Justice.”
- What will those from Sarajevo say after this applause? I always come to Belgrade with a certain amount of tension. And tonight when I tried to write something and speak, which, of course, doesn’t resemble me, I gave up because I believe that the most important thing is to speak from the heart and openly.
This event, which we are marking for the 11th time, serves as proof of something that has been proven. That we are one people, one identity, one faith, and one nation. And that only the circumstances imposed on us throughout history have forced us to be something territorially special when, in essence, we are one. One that gathers, one that is lived for, one that we won’t give up and will never give up. And that we are a unity of the Serbian people.
- They didn’t allow us to be one state. It was entirely natural for Serbs to organize their national state in the territory of present-day Serbia and Republika Srpska, as well as some other areas, and for it to be part of the historical debt of civilization, that is, the great powers that was supposed to be given to the Serbs. However, we were not allowed to do that; their only goal was for Serbia to be weak and the Serbian people divided. They didn’t allow us to be one state, although it was so natural, Dodik emphasized.
