Kamala Harris, the new Democratic contender for the presidential seat, has decided to hit the ground running. In her first serious interview since launching her presidential campaign, Harris showed her determination by promising to tighten the rules at the U.S. southern border while also ensuring that Israel won’t miss out on any ammunition. Speaking on CNN under the sharp gaze of host Dana Bash, Harris sought to prove that she knows what America needs—just over two months before the big showdown in November.

“Law is law, and a border is a border,” Harris declared, making it clear that those who think they can illegally stroll into the land of the free should be prepared for consequences. As she put it, laws are there to be respected—and enforced. So, dear migrants, brace yourselves for a cold reception if you plan to cross the border without an invitation.

But it’s not all about fences and walls. Harris also firmly stood behind Israel, dismissing the voices within her own party who believe the U.S. should reconsider sending weapons to Israel due to the bloody conflict in Gaza. “A strong Israel, a strong America,” she asserted, while discreetly sidestepping the tricky question of whether she would halt arms shipments. Ceasefire, agreements, hostages—these are all things to discuss, but weapons? They stay on the table.

So, if you thought Kamala Harris would be soft and restrained, prepare to be surprised. At the Mexican border, she plans to build a strong wall, and when it comes to Israel, the weapons will keep flowing—because, as Harris says, America must stay strong, and Israel even stronger.
