Ekspres navodi da je unutar grupe “Wagner” Jelizarov poznat kao “osvajač Soledara”, što je nadimak koji mu je navodno dao sam Prigožin.
Britanski list također navodi da je bio blizak s Prigožinom, koji je nedavno poginuo u avionskoj nesreći u blizini Moskve.

Commander Anton Yelizarov, known by the nickname Lotus, has been chosen as the new leader of the Russian paramilitary formation “Wagner” following the death of the previous leader and founder of the group, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
As reported by the British Express, the new head of “Wagner” has participated in some of the fiercest battles of the war in Ukraine and played a leading role in the capture of the city of Soledar in eastern Ukraine.
Express notes that within the “Wagner” group, Yelizarov is known as the “Conqueror of Soledar,” a nickname reportedly given to him by Prigozhin himself.
The British newspaper also mentions that he was close to Prigozhin, who recently died in a plane crash near Moscow.
