“We have come to a situation where the agreement from Mostar has become an SDA scam. “All the solutions in that agreement are published and signed, it’s just a question of how to make a compromise between the key political parties, and then we can dedicate ourselves to settling the situation in the country,” he said.
During a meeting with journalists in Sarajevo, Covic said that the talks should be more dynamic than before.
Referring to the visit to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, Čović emphasized that it was a working lunch:
“We spoke about stabilization of BIH”, adding that it was an amicable conversation.
“I arranged party meetings with Izetbegović, as well as with Dodik, to try to agree on everything we can and not to withdraw on three sides,” he said.
Covic reiterated that constitutive BH peoples are the fundamental constitutional category and that everything that is not harmonized with the Constitution is illegal.
“If we want a better Constitution, we know where it is being passed. The current organization of BiH is predominantly Dayton “, believes Covic.
In his opinion, the agreement from Mostar is the minimum thing that needs to be done.
“The legitimate representation of the three peoples should be ensured. The measure between ethnic and civic was found in Dayton “, said Čović, adding that 97% of the capacity in the country is still according to the classic civic model.
He also said that the House of Peoples and the Presidency of BiH are the same issues and that the Presidency cannot be left for future times. These are related things.
“We cannot be more divided than we are now. We are at the top of the government crisis, and the next step is a downturn. It is a lie when you say today that proposing two federal units in the Federation of BiH, instead of the current 11, is “dividing of the country”. I think we are saving it, not dividing it further. If we want to move towards the European Union, is the recomposition of these 11 entities into three new dividing or new reuniting? – “Covic said.
The current BiH Election Law says that each county is a constituency.
Today we are at the beginning, and until we get out of the deadlock of outwitting, will someone give me an answer whom they elected to the Club of Croats from Goražde? They elected representatives of Croats in Bihać. Look who elected him “, said Čović.
