Nakon završene policijske istrage u Mostarskoj policiji, večeras je predan nadležnom Tužilaštvu Hercegovačko-neretvanskog kantona Mostarac, D.P. (46), koji je sinoć u 20 sati uhićen pod sumnjom da je ukrao kip Bruce Leeja iz Velikog parka u Mostaru.
Prema informacijama koje imamo, riječ je o Danijelu Prci, koji je već poznat policiji zbog trgovine drogom i pljački.
Prije četiri godine, Prce je uhapšen u akciji Federalne uprave policije (FUP) kada je kod njega pronađeno oko 120 grama heroina, dio kojeg je bio pripremljen za prodaju. Bio je i na Interpolovoj tjeralici zbog zlouporabe opojnih droga, a tražilo ga je i hrvatsko pravosuđe. Također, zbog pljačke u Mostaru 2011. godine, osuđen je na kaznu zatvora od dvije godine i četiri mjeseca, a hapšen je i nekoliko puta zbog droge.
Da li je Prce sam u noći s 2. na 3. ožujka s adekvatnim alatom odrezao postolje na kojem se nalazio kip filmske zvijezde i jednog od najvećih majstora borilačkih vještina, pokazat će istraga.
Iako je, prema neformalnim informacijama, istražiteljima rekao da je bio sam u toj “akciji”, tvrdeći da je kip Bruce Leea utovario u građevinsku kolica koja je navodno pronašao ispred istoimenog ugostiteljskog objekta, tokom dana je privedena jedna osoba kao mogući suučesnik.
Prema nepotvrđenim informacijama, kip je prebačen iz parka u ruševni objekt “Staklene banke”, gdje je rastavljen na dijelove, a policija ga je pronašla u jednoj kući u naselju Kosor južno od Mostara.
Budući da je cijela priča o krađi bronzanog kipa Bruce Leea izazvala veliku pažnju u javnosti u gotovo cijelom regionu, Prce i njegovi eventualni pomagači imali su problema s njegovom prodajom otkupljivačima sekundarnih sirovina.
Podsjećamo, iz MUP-a Hercegovačko-neretvanskog kantona jutros su izrazili zabrinutost i osudu javnosti iz cijelog regiona.
– Kriminalistička istraga bila je složena iz više razloga, posebno jer u parku nije bilo videonadzora. Unatoč svim poteškoćama, inspektori Odjela kriminalističke policije PU Mostar uspjeli su u kratkom vremenu utvrditi identitet osumnjičenog, uhititi ga i pronaći spomenuti kip, koji je bio oštećen – navodi se iz MUP-a HNK.
Kip je umjetničko djelo Ivana Fijolića, a postavljen je u Velikom parku 2005. godine, kao dio “Urbanog pokreta Mostar”. Nedugo nakon postavljanja, kip je bio oskrnavljen i uklonjen iz parka u skladište Javnog poduzeća “Parkovi” Mostar. Ponovno je postavljen u park 2013. godine.
After conducting a criminal investigation at the Mostar Police Department, tonight, a man from Mostar, D.P. (46), was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton on grounded suspicion of stealing the Bruce Lee statue from the Veliki Park in Mostar.
As we have learned, it concerns Danijel Prci, who is already known to law enforcement agencies for drug dealing and robberies.
Four years ago, Prci was arrested in an operation by the Federal Police Administration (FUP) when about 120 grams of heroin were found in his possession, part of which was prepared for sale. He was also on Interpol’s wanted list for drug abuse, and Croatian judiciary was looking for him. Additionally, he was sentenced to two years and four months in prison for robbery in Mostar in 2011, and he has been arrested for drugs on several occasions.
Whether Prce alone sawed off the base on which the statue of the film star and one of the greatest martial arts masters was located on the night of March 2nd to 3rd with suitable tools will be shown by the investigation.
Although, according to unofficial information, he told investigators that he acted alone in this “operation,” claiming that he loaded the Bruce Lee statue onto a wheelbarrow that he allegedly found in front of the same-named catering facility, during the day, one person was brought in as a possible accomplice.
According to unconfirmed information, the statue was transferred from the park to the ruinous object “Staklena Banka,” where it was sawed into pieces, and the police found it in a house in the Kosor settlement south of Mostar.
Since the entire story about the theft of the bronze statue of Bruce Lee has caused a stir in the public in almost the entire region, Prce and, potentially, his helpers had a problem selling it to scrap metal buyers.
Recall that the Ministry of the Interior of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton stated this morning that the theft of the statue had caused concern and condemnation from the public throughout the region.
- The criminal investigation was complicated for several reasons, especially because there is no video surveillance in the park. Despite all the difficulties, inspectors from the Criminal Police Department of the Mostar Police Department managed to determine the identity of the suspect, apprehend him, and find the stolen statue, which was damaged – stated the Ministry of the Interior of the HNK.
The statue is the artwork of Ivan Fijolić and was installed in the Veliki Park in 2005 as part of the “Urban Movement Mostar” idea. Shortly after its installation, the statue was desecrated and removed from the park to the storage of the Public Company “Parkovi” Mostar. It was reinstalled in the park in 2013.
